Safer Injecting

Tips for Safer Injecting:
-Use new supplies every time and do not share; reusing or sharing syringes and other injection equipment puts you at risk of getting/spreading blood-borne infections like hepatitis C, hepatitis B or HIV.
-Start low and go slow; there is no way of knowing how strong your drugs are and what’s in them. Because of this, it’s a good idea to start with a small test amount and increase slowly.
-Try using with at least one other person; if you overdose you will need support.
-Carry Naloxone and know how to use it; contact SWAP for free kits and training.
-Rotate injection sites to give your veins a break to heal.
