ACNL’s Provincial HIV/HCV Services Program is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) under their HIV and Hepatitis C Community Action Fund (CAF). PHAC has moved to a more holistic approach with respect to HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV), and related sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) and related health factors, such as chronic disease, mental health, aging and the determinants of health in contributing to a pan-Canadian response. This approach builds upon the historical and collective efforts of governments, civil society and the private sector in addressing the challenges of HIV and HCV over time.
ACNL has been funded to address HIV, HCV, and related STBBIs through education programs targeted to meet the needs of professional service providers. Education initiatives are completed in partnership with government and community partners, and our national partner, CATIE. Our education program is designed to facilitate knowledge exchange with service providers to enhance their programs and services.
ACNL provides non-judgmental, compassionate, and confidential services for people living with, affected by, or at risk for HIV and/or HCV. Our goal is to engage, empower, and build the capacity of clients in system, program, and service navigation to improve their quality of life. ACNL recognizes the diverse needs of our community and is here to support you.
